Unique Vintage Wedding Cake Topper

Want a cute wedding cake topper with a retro feel? Yay! I have just the one for you! :)

At first you notice the adorable porcelain couple with flowers and tulle and pearls surrounding them.

Then you notice the three clear acrylic background pieces behind the couple!

That is not something you see these days! The acrylic partitions surround the couple and give them their own little special place to reflect on their wedding day. :)

Some things the 'chillens' could enjoy!

New to the shop this week are some fun, vintage children's items.

This wee 8" long, stuffed Humpty Dumpty has the most adorable cross stitched face!  Wouldn't this look just darling sitting atop a bookshelf or dresser in a baby's nursery?

Introduced in 1982, this Papa Smurf glass features a bright crisp image of Papa Smurf getting into some mischief....or possibly getting hurt.

Pea Weight, Pulley, and Playing Cards

The past few weeks have yielded some mighty fine discoveries up in the North Georgia mountains! Check out some very neat items that recently found a home in the shop!

Three old glass milk bottles.  Each features a cardboard lid, with one lid having the text, "BOYSON'S DAIRY NEWTOWN, CONN."

Cast iron 3 1/2 pound pea weight. These weights were used to weigh cotton, hay, produce and a variety of other things.

This beautiful old ship pulley is made from wood and metal. The rust and wood damage only adds to its charm, making this old pulley great for industrial, beach or rustic decor or for someone that collects ship or shipyard items.. This is a heavy duty 18 pound pulley and would be great to hang a lamp or anything from. On the label is a star in the middle and it appears to say OSTOR & LOC PORT.

One of the neatest finds that has made its way to the shop is this set of limited edition playing cards that was released in 1986.  Scantily-dressed ladies of the 80s are featured on every card.  These cards do not appear to have been used and are in very good condition.

Cute Kitchen Decor

Just added to the shop is some new kitchen-related items!

This adorable English breakfast tea set features a fruit motif.  While it could find a lovely home in any kitchen, it could also be a nice set for a young girl to play with.

Vintage silverplate cream and sugar set from WM. Rogers.

Two beautiful glass Ball Mason JarsThe left jar is a quart size jar and is a Perfect Mason jar that was made before 1937. The right jar is a pint size 3L jar that was made before 1910. The word Ball is script style with the extra loop at the end. It has beautiful imperfections (air bubbles) and comes with a zinc lid with porcelain insert, the insert is loose. Also it has a sharp shoulder instead of a rounded one.

This neat vintage wooden box would be perfect for storing recipes or perhaps tea bags.  The lid has been marked "Misc Paid Reciepts," while the inside of the lid has been marked in pencil "Jim McCriebard?"

New Fashions

I recently came across a handful of wonderfully unique vintage hats that are now listed in the shop.  Sequins, fur, corduroy, bridal!  These chic hats would make a wonderful addition to your fall/winter wardrobe.

Lovely ocean foam blue sequined cocktail hat with beaded black scrolling.

Vintage brown mink pill box style hat.

Vintage red corduroy hat.

Vintage 1950s ornate ivory bridal or formal hat with lovely stitched flowers and scrolling on top.

Industrial Decor

A few new finds have been added to the shop.  These new items are super neat and would make unique decor items.

Large, amber Duraglas container. This beautiful vintage bottle would look sexy displayed on any book shelf or table.

Wooden toolbox used to hold replacement saw blades at Lockheed, Marietta, Georgia.  This box would make an awesome storage container that could double as an interesting decor item. (Can we say, *Guy Gift*?!)

Here we have another vintage wooden toolbox used at Lockheed Company.  This handmade toolbox exudes character and would make a cool, sturdy container.

Always on the hunt for neat vintage finds, I recently attended a rummage sale in North Georgia.  Some neat finds were found!  Keep an eye out in the shop as these new items will be added soon. :)
